Our Story

Our Story

To truly understand the roots of our organisation, we must journey back to the late 20th century, when a young and determined Dr. Saji D’ Souza from Trivandrum, Kerala began his medical career far from home, in a place where both the language and culture were unfamiliar. That very place would eventually become the proud home of KSAC Hospitals.

What began as a heartfelt effort to provide holistic healing led to the founding of Kerala Sanjeevani Ayurvedic Center in 1998 an institution born not out of ambition, but out of the genuine insistence and goodwill of Dr. Saji’s patients. These early patients, deeply moved by the efficacy of his treatments and the power of Ayurveda, recognised the value of his work and encouraged him to establish a centre for healing.

Guided by an unwavering commitment to authentic, results-driven Ayurvedic care, KSAC quickly earned a reputation as a beacon of good health. It emerged as a trusted messenger of Ayurveda - delivering clean, honest, and deeply transformative treatments to those who sought lasting relief from pain and rejuvenation.

Originally set up as a modest clinic tucked away in the interiors of Punjagutta, Kerala Sanjeevani Ayurvedic Center steadily grew, driven by patient trust and clinical results into a multi-centre Ayurvedic hospital network spanning across Hyderabad.

Our Evolution

On 9th July 2008, what began as a cluster of humble Ayurvedic clinics officially came together under one banner as an incorporated company - KSAC Hospitals (I) Pvt. Ltd. It marked not just a legal transformation, but the beginning of a deeper vision: to build a trusted, multispecialty Ayurvedic hospital rooted in results and compassion. From our earliest days in Hyderabad to our expansion into Bengaluru, our growth was never just about numbers - it was about purpose.

As our institution matured, so did our philosophy of care. We pioneered what we proudly call Evidence-Based Ayurveda - a rare and bold approach in medicine. We began asking patients to get diagnostic reports before starting treatment and again after completing it, encouraging them to use labs of their choice, preferably NABL-accredited. The results? Tangible proof of healing. This wasn’t just about trust; it was about showing every patient the progress they made, not just through how they felt, but through data they could hold in their hands. It is this transparency and confidence in our treatments that sets KSAC apart.

Our journey also led us to become the only private Ayurvedic hospital in Telangana to be recognised by both the state government and the National Accreditation Board forHospitals (NABH) under the AYUSH banner - an honour that reinforces the standards we uphold every single day.

In 2018, we took another significant step by scaling up to a 50-bedded hospital, ensuring that more patients could access inpatient care - and more importantly, be eligible for insurance-supported treatments. For us, it wasn’t just about capacity; it was about accessibility and affordability without compromising on the quality of care.

But one of our proudest milestones came with the introduction of multispecialty Ayurveda - a concept often missing in traditional setups. In most Ayurvedic clinics, a single doctor often manages everything - from the common cold to complex chronic conditions. At KSAC, we changed that. We believed that just as in allopathic systems, specialisation could raise the standard of care. Today, whether it’s from pediatrics to geriatrics, every patient is seen by a doctor who is the expert in that domain.

Our commitment to community building also shaped us. For two meaningful years, we ran a Panchakarma training centre in collaboration with the then Government of Andhra Pradesh. Here, we conducted an intensive one-year programme in therapeutic massage. Offered at minimal fees, this initiative gave dozens of students from underprivileged backgrounds a new skill and a new future. It was, in many ways, our CSR in spirit -empowering the youth through Ayurveda. Sadly, the centre had to shut down following the state bifurcation, but the lives it touched remain a lasting legacy.

At the core of everything we do is a deep set of values. We believe that every patient is equal, regardless of caste, creed, or background, and deserves to be treated with the same respect and dedication. We believe in honest medicine—we never take on cases we feel we cannot truly help, no matter the pressure. And we believe that pain is not an illness—it is a symptom. We don’t believe in treating symptoms alone. Our treatments are focused on lasting healing, not just temporary relief.

Resilience and Renewal

Like many around the world, KSAC Hospitals too faced one of its most challenging chapters during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a non-emergency segment within the medical field, we were deeply affected by the lockdowns and restrictions that made it impossible for us to continue treating patients. The impact was significant in forcing us to take the difficult decision to close our Bangalore branch and scale down our Hyderabad facility from 50 beds to 25.

These moments tested not just our operations but our spirit. Yet, as we have always believed, healing is never linear - it is a journey of resilience, adaptation, and faith. And so, step by step, we found our footing again, slowly rebuilding, reaffirming our purpose, and re-anchoring ourselves to what matters most: our patients and the quality of care we provide.

In the year 2025, we marked a major milestone in our journey - we received our first round of funding, making the leap from a family-run enterprise to a professionally scaled organisation.

And yet, through this transformation, we have held firm to the values that built us. We remain as committed as ever to our founding principles: clinical integrity, patient trust, and outcome-driven Ayurvedic care. With new wings, a strong foundation, and a clear vision, we now look forward - with the sky as our only limit - to reaching every patient who can benefit from what we offer.

This is the KSAC way. A journey that began with one man’s vision has today become a movement in authentic, transparent, and result-driven Ayurvedic care. And while we may have grown in size and recognition, our roots remain exactly where they began - with truth, tradition, and trust.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To our patients, who have walked beside us for nearly three decades, we owe you everything. Your faith, your stories, your belief in Ayurveda, and your trust in us - you have been the true pillars of KSAC. We see each of you not just as individuals seeking treatment, but as part of our extended family. Thank you - for believing in us, for returning to us, and for carrying our name into your communities. Your trust has been the wind beneath our wings.
