Through Kshara sutra surgery provided by doctors of KSAC hospitals, you can have an end to anorectal disorders through ayurvedic resulting a permanent solution to anorectal issues. Anorectal disorders are very common among all ages. But many shy away from consulting a doctor to get appropriate treatment. These disorders affect the last four or five inches of the digestive tract and anal canal. They vary based on the benign conditions such as hemorrhoids which is most commonly referred as “piles”, anal fissures and fistula. Thus, it is important for patients to get a physical examination to diagnose and relieve the suffering.

What are common anorectal disorders?

Over the years, piles, fissures and fistula have been the most common anorectal problems. Although they share some common symptoms, they are categorised differently based on the severity of such symptoms.

Piles or Hemorrhoids

Best ayurvedic treatment for piles in Hyderabad. Piles is a condition where the veins of the anal canal are either swollen or stretched. As the blood vessels are enlarged, they cause severe pain during the bowel movement and become a reason for discomfort.

The most occurring symptoms include:

  • Redness, soreness and itchiness near the anal region
  • Blood in stools
  • Skin tags near the anal outlet
  • Mucus after passing stool

Based on the symptoms, hemorrhoids is categorised as external or internal hemorrhoids.

Anal Fissures

In case of anal fissures, a small tear of skin is observed on the anal area. If the anal fissure lasts more than six weeks, it is considered as chronic. Most often, the patients have only one fissure.

The major symptom to identify anal fissures is a sharp deep pain while passing stool accompanied by a burning sensation for long durations. Patients describe this intense pain as “passing knives or shards of glass” in the anus. Moreover, small amounts of blood are noticed in stools.

Anal Fistula

An anal fistula is a fibrinous tube like granulation tissue connecting between the anus and the end of the bowel. The primary reason for such abnormal tracts includes trauma or surgery.  They are a consequence of the infection near the anus which collects pus. Even though the pus leaves away, there is a small channel that is left behind.

Anal fistulas can cause a number of unpleasant symptoms:

  • Swelling, redness, and skin irritation near the anus
  • Discharge of smelly pus or blood in the stool
  • Regular pass of pus
  • A continuous throbbing pain
  • Difficulty in managing the bowel movement

After diagnosing the condition, either treatment or surgery is recommended to the patients. However, in case of surgeries, their disappointing success rate is only building misery in patients’ lives. Though standard surgical methods has come a long way in many cases, patients still have a tough time in trusting them when it comes to anorectal problems.

This is where KSHARA SUTRA comes into the scene.

Dr. Ansy D’Souza, specialist in anorectal problems, in conversation on piles, fissures and fistula. What is Kshara Sutra? Kshara Sutra is an Ayurvedic painless surgery without a knife. It is a parasurgical method. The process started as early as 1000 BC in India. Kshara Sutra refers to “Caustic Thread”. Etymologically, Kshara would mean “melt away”. Hence, Ayurvedic surgeons use plant extracts to ease the skin tags around the anal region to soothe and slowly remove the unwanted portion with the help of a linen thread. Earlier, this was not a smooth experience for the patient when the thread was used. However, with recent advancements in Kshara Sutra, patients are now given localised anaesthesia to make the procedure pain-free. Essentially, Kshara Sutra works on two basic principles: Softening the tissue Careful Incision. Kshara, the key ingredient of the procedure, is prepared using herbs which have zero side effects on patients. The composition is a mixture of sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate, silica, calcium oxide and magnesium oxide in their natural form. A special cotton linen thread is made for the purpose and used along with few binding agents. The Procedure The patient is examined and based on the requirement, Kshara and Sutra are made. Often turmeric is also included in this process. First, a solution is made – one part of Kshara, three parts of turmeric and binding agents such as Udumbeer sheer or powder of Gum ekklesia with sufficient water. Then, the cotton thread is soaked in it and dried in a hygienic and cool place (Formalin Chamber). This process is repeated 11 times before using it on the patient. The patient is critically examined and then operated the patient several times and identifying all the symptoms, the patient is operated with the kshara and sutra, and without any surgical instruments. The time taken to complete the entire process, including patient discharge is not more than two days. As the procedure of Kshara Sutra includes anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, additional measures are not required. The cleansing of the dhosha with Kshara Sutra, not only relieves patients from pain but also offers them a permanent solution to anorectal issues. Why KSHARA SUTRA? The process involves no chemicals at all. Hence, the plant extracts have no aftermath effects Unlike standard surgeries, Kshara Sutra uses no instruments at all and leaves no chance for the patient to acquire an infection It is the most cost-effective way to get rid of anorectal problems Separates the debris and cleans the wound in the most efficient manner The problem of recurrence is minimal No surgical complications are involved A soothing effect to the anal region. This method can effectively be used for all anorectal problems such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistula, rectovaginal fistula, thrombosed hemorrhoids, ulcerative colitis, pilonidal sinus, anal stenosis and others.
